Introduce yourself to others at Dhamma Wheel.
by FrancesB » Tue May 29, 2012 5:47 am
Hi,
I've been interested in Buddhism for a long time, but my practice and dedication have been haphazard as I have also explored several other philosophies and religions. I have serious health problems and a fulltime job which makes my participation in our local sangha (The Forest Hermitage) difficult. I am hoping that the Dhamma Wheel will work as a type of sangha for me and look forward to meeting you all.

Greetings Frances,
Welcome to Dhamma Wheel.

This is actually quite common, for whatever reason. In my case it's a lack of a local Theravada community, amongst other things.
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)
