Ven. Dhammanando is in retreat, and I am hoping to see Ven Appicchato but it depends on logistics. Unfortunately, Phuket is a fair way south.

I was on Phuket last month and hated it. If you are looking for a family vacation, I'd go somewhere else.

I've been to some nice parts, though I wouldn't recommend it either. Hope retro is lucky with his hotel!
