Hello all!
My name's Matthew, I've been interested in Buddhism for about 7-8 years, but only focused on the Theravada Tradition and got serious about meditation in the last year. As a resident of Oxford I have the good fortune of attending the Oxford Buddha Vihara (http://www.oxfordbuddhavihara.org.uk/obv_eng/index.php) and learning from the lay Sangha and the Sangha of monks there, led by the abbot Dr.Khammai Dhammasami.
I've been lurking here for awhile, enjoying and learning from the variety of perspectives, experience and knowledge the Dhamma Wheel Sangha provides, so thought it time to say "hello" and thank you for this great resource!
Best wishes,
Matthew

Welcome Matthew! I look forward to your contributions!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Welcome Matthew!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
