Hi everyone,
I am a 25 y/o male from Southern Louisiana. I have a B.A. in International Studies and I'm currently working on my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I've been very interested in Buddhism since a teenager and have done a fair share of meditation through my own personal practice. I've sat in on Shambhala and Vipassana groups here and there, but I definitely don't have a formal commitment to any tradition (yet). I look forward to getting to know everyone here and to learn and share with you all!

Welcome to Dhamma Wheel!
Good luck with the studies, sounds like a good field you are getting into.

Thanks, David! I do think it is a good field! I am also quite interested in the relationship between Buddhism and Western psychotherapy, so that topic might come up at some point on a relevant board.

Greetings Klasikos,
Welcome to Dhamma Wheel.
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)
