I was very confused by the instructions. Could someone make a concise list of what is needed?
Gain and loss, status and disgrace,
censure and praise, pleasure and pain:
these conditions among human beings are inconstant,
impermanent, subject to change.

Knowing this, the wise person, mindful,
ponders these changing conditions.
Desirable things don’t charm the mind,
undesirable ones bring no resistance.

His welcoming and rebelling are scattered,
gone to their end,
do not exist.

Hi,

Regarding medicine B:
Bhikku Samahita wrote:OK. The Good News is that the somewhat expensive ARTHEMETER can be substituted with
a cheap herb product readily available without prescription. Several good Dhamma friends
have already sent enough of this herb product here. J So please rejoice in their fine Kamma.
As for medicine A (treatment medicine), i'm not sure. There might be something on the way from the other end of the world. It would certainly be good if someone from a nearby country (country in Asia or from Australia) could send the medicine to him.

We are not sure that the herb will be effective but is is worth trying.
Yet to be sure of prevention the first year Arthemether would be safest.
Praziquantel is OK with the sendings that so far have been either performed or promised.
Of Artemether is needed 336 tablets for 1 year of prevention.
So far have 2 x 24 tablet = 48 tablets been ordered but neither achieved yet or reshipped here.
So the remaining need seems to be 288 Artemether tablets of 40 mg.
They are first needed in after 2 months.

I just donated a bit of money via the paypal link on your site. It's not much but every little bit helps. May you be well and healthy!
Then,

you will put an end to suffering and stress.

Ven. Bhante,

I am sorry to hear about that. I wish you get well soon.

I just donated some money on the paypal address given in the previous post.
Is anyone coordinating the purchase and delivery of the medications?

That paypal account now has had over a thousand dollars donated to it. I hope any excess money will be put to good use.

Wow, that's great!
There won't be much money left over after buying a year or two's supply of Artemether. That's expensive stuff!

unless someone has found it cheaper, 1 years supply of Artemether will be approx 1300$ USD. any excess will most likely be donate or used to buy things for the Hermitage.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schistosomiasis#Treatment" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; a single dose of Praziquantel anually is enough to treat it. Is this an option?

EDIT

I saw in the spreadsheet that it was donated already. Is anything else needed after that? Why is Artemether still needed if I may ask?

to prevent reinfection. the infection is contracted through bathing water.

if there is anyone here who is an MD or has close relationship with an MD please contact me in private. we have basically exhausted all sources for Artemether or Coartem with no luck.
