Thanks! I wonder who that elderly couple are, and why they have an enormous inflatable cake on their snowy lawn?
I actually forgot it was my birthday until at breakfast someone wished me a happy birthday.
Hopefully this will be my last birthday outside a monastery for a long time! :anjali:
Then,
saturated with joy,
you will put an end to suffering and stress.

Now I'm wondering how a birthday inside a monastery would be
Never heard they celebrate it, also never heard they don't.
Suffering is asking from life what it can never give you.

I'll tell you why... it's to wish you happy birthday of course, chief!

James - Let's save the cake I gave for a rainy day, and eat the one Khalil Bodhi gave.

Happy Birthday James!

:anjali:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
