Greetings Perkele,

Heheh... hair metal.

Here's a cover of a song originally performed by the hairy Bee Gees.

Another one my wife got me into...

Through many of samsara’s births I hasten seeking, finding not the builder of this house - pain is birth again, again. O builder of this house you’re seen, you shall not build a house again, all your beams have given away, rafters of the ridge decayed, mind to the unconditioned gone, exhaustion of craving has it reached.(Dhp - 153, 154)

Greetings,

Jefferson Airplane are cool.

Skipping beyond their mega hits Somebody To Love and White Rabbit, there's still so many good songs. A couple that come to mind...

Indeed!
As you know I have been tormenting my facebook friends with a Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starfish retrospective of late.

Wooden Ships was actually a song by CS&N (Crosby, Stills & Nash) but done by JA when Crosby and Nash joined the band - at some point.
I like the JA version but prefer the CS&N original.

I do love Jerry Garcia on lead guitar but sometimes I just get a hankering for Stephen Stills' unmistakable style.

Oh dear Ben, that's terrible.

It's lost the endearing post-apocalyptic feel of JA's version in favour of generic early-70s US rock.

In order to redeem yourself, clap your hearers around this...

I will, but later. My wife will hit me if I play another youtube video.
CS&N terrible?? My friend - you need an education!
Here they are with Neil Young (CSN&Y) from their concert album 'Four Way Street" playing "The Lee Shore"

Greetings Ben,

I've heard worse but it doesn't float my boat - for mine, Donovan did that kind of sound better.

8-)

But anyway, setting aside the "countering" for a moment. Here's what I have actually been listening to over the last few days... Mansun.
