Greetings from China and Canada

Post by jasonfei »

Hi, everyone!
I am a Budhist from China and will move to Canada (maybe Calgary of Alberta) next year, and I am looking forward to meet Budhist friends locally and internationally.

I started learning Budhism about 8 years ago, first the Mahayana and then the Veranada, and have practiced the Pureland, the Zen, the Goenka Vipassana, and the Thai Action meditation. About 4 years ago, I began to learn psychology, and I consider Budhism is a sort of psychology with the methodology of using self-awareness instead of scientific experiments.

I plan to practice the Action meditation and Anapana to achieve ultimate freedom through years’ systematical exercises of mind. I believe we can support and encourage each other here on the path towards Nirvana, which consists of boring, loneliness and uncertainties.

I don’t have ICQ or MSN account at present, but use a similar software named QQ, and the account number is 13197053, and you are most welcome to make contact.

Metta guys,

Jason

Welcome jasonfei!

Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Hi, Chris, I also have being in Brisbane in 2004, and began to learn Budhism in UQ, and took a Vipassana course in a small town, I guess the name Pomona. It is really a nice city, nice to meet you :quote: .

Hi Jason,

Interesting. I've done Retreats at Pomona at the Goenka centre. I also studied a few subjects in the Religious Studies department at U.Q. under Dr. Primoz Pecenko (now deceased) and Patrick Kearney.
