Hi Dreamov,

There's no such dictionary, but there's a helpful table:

Take a look at the Pali Text Society's PALI-ENGLISH DICTIONARY:

What is the use of his knowledge
pertaining to the number of insects in the whole world?
Rather, inquire into his knowledge of
that which is to be practised by us

But wikipedia does provide Sanskrit equivalent to almost every Pali term, for instance

Vijñāna (Sanskrit; Devanagari: विज्ञान) or viññāṇa (Pāli; Devanagari: विञ्ञाण)

Saṅkhāra (Pali; Devanagari: सङ्खार) or saṃskāra (Sanskrit; Devanagari: संस्कार)

Pali: sañña, सञ्ञा or Sanskrit: saṃjñā, संज्ञा

Pali: phassa or Sanskrit: sparśa, sparsha

there has to be some cross reference wikipedia must be using.

The only thing that prevents me from reading Pali directly is the unavailibility of its Sanskrit equivalent since i can read sanskrit with no problem.

anyway thx for the table, it might prove helpful.

thanks for the link Dmytro!!! downloaded the pdf version of Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit dictionary by Franklin Edgerton after a fair bit of googling. Not exactly Pali to Sanskrit (in fact the reverse), but that will do. thanks once again!
