I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on this issue, specifically the conflation of vipassana the quality with the act of meditation.
Gain and loss, status and disgrace,
censure and praise, pleasure and pain:
these conditions among human beings are inconstant,
impermanent, subject to change.
