I am very young to buddhism but believe that I have at last found a way through this life which means something to me, however because of this my mind just does not stop in creating ways to make our lives happier, I am encouraging myself in this because though extremely creative at times, as you will see, who can say what might happen. Anyway here goes see what you think
The world issues we have at the moment which seem to be mainly tied up with money (forgetting about the sick, starving and the like) our banks seem to be wavering all across the world. What do you think about championing a time for all currencies to be blended into one. Surely this would be a good time to bring us closer together, each country could still have their own flag or whatever on one side, like the euros. wont that start the debates. For it to be call a 'peace' similar to that of a 'euro' ten euros - ten peaces surely this could be the start of something much more beautiful.
If I knew how to tell the internet of this idea I surely would but not being much of a techy, what can I do? any help would be much much appreciated.
optimistically

Hi Heidi,
welcome, see you around from time to time hopefully!

Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.
He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

Welcome Heidi and thanks for your efforts.
I think that if you look a human history for even five minutes, you will see that there has never been a time when there was not stress and misfortune of one sort or another. Based on this verifiable evidence alone, I think Gandhi's words may take on a more compelling power:
"Be the peace you seek."

Welcome!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Welcome! I'm not sure if one world currency will really solve any of the major problems, but you never know! You will still have several countries indebted to others, still have poverty, widespread inequities in wealth, etc. Neither socialism nor capitalism has solved anything up to now, so don't know if there is any magic bullet for solving the problems.
