Hello all!
I'm here to hear what you all have to say about the Dhamma and hopefully I can learn and help as needed too. So far, I've really benefited from reading the posts here. I have some background of about a year of daily sutta study and feel my meditation practice is okay at hour sitting sessions and some progress. Learning the Dhamma, has been transformational for me thusfar. I am thankful that the Bhudda illuminated this for us, and wish the best for each of you as well in this practice.

Greetings Nem,
Welcome to Dhamma Wheel.
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)

Welcome.
What is the use of his knowledge
pertaining to the number of insects in the whole world?
Rather, inquire into his knowledge of
that which is to be practised by us
-- Dharmakirti
This being is bound to samsara, kamma is his means for going beyond.

Níl sa saol seo ach ceo
There is naught in this life but mist
Is ní bheimid beo ach seal beag gearr.
And we will not be alive but a short hard time.
