Hello from New Hampshire, USA

Postby SittingSilent » Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:46 pm

Hi, I'm a 26 year old guy on the autism spectrum finding myself drawn to Buddhism. I've felt this inclination for years and now I'm trying to learn more and become a more serious practitioner. I'm currently reading a book of discourese about the Pali Canon.

Welcome. I hope you find your involvement here of value.

What is the use of his knowledge
pertaining to the number of insects in the whole world?
Rather, inquire into his knowledge of
that which is to be practised by us

Welcome! May you find what you're looking for!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)

Welcome SittingSilent,

Glad to meet you at here at this forum, I have been busy lately and neglected my sitting, only restarted sitting a week or so ago thanks to a InsightTimer app that I found for my Android phone and after a couple of days the consistency wasn't there again.

May you and all be well and fruitful :namaste:
It isn't what you do or do not do that is the problem, it is what I do and do not do that is *my* problem
