Work?

Post by Chi »

What do you do for a living? Are you fulfilled with your occupation?

I've never really thought about establishing a career, but now it seems to be on my mind more often.

How was it never on your mind before now? See my questions here, which you still haven't answered:

By practicing austerity i have too much income that is not used, and wich i dont need, so until one year, i keep more than half of my income in bank account, i do this for my mother and brother, because i will ordain, so when i will go forth, they will percive some money.

If you are sure to ordain, i think it's the best way to do, because doing this way, you will practice some usefull austerity, and by practicing austerity you will be able to help your mother financialy.
Doing this way,
You will develop your practice,
You will help your mother better,
You will ordain in best conditions.

If by austerity, you mean frugality, then you and I share similar thoughts.

All I own materially can fit into a backpack.

Simplifying is good. Not caring about having loads of money is good too, but bills still need to be paid, food needs to be purchased, rent or mortgage needs to be paid. A career or even a job is good thing to have to cover bills.

If you have a knack for being an entrepreneur, this can still be done with maintaining Right Livelihood as long as you're not ripping people off, not scamming, etc.

By austerity i mean simple life.
Without such things as party, casino, girls etc... This money can be spend in better way by our parents or such organisations like RedCross, GreenPeace, WWF etc

Actualy is usefull to ask yourself, this money which i spend now, if i spend it to survive or for fun? If the enswer is for fun, there is another question that arise, is childrens in Africa/ parents/ ... will spend this money to survive or for fun?

About 10% of my income i give to WWF, RedCross, GreenPeace, Unesco
ABout 50% keep for my family
And with about 5% i buy some food for neighbour birds and cats
But actualy i have some regrets, because i think that it's not enought :? :embarassed:
Actualy i dont need all this money at all... just one meal a day...i'am happy

I have no consil to make, but if you have money, use it skillfully... there is some beings which needs it more than a casino
