o Pay very close attention to other peoples’ feelings, wants and needs as expressed through sound and body language
This means that you have to stop humping their leg when everyone is shouting at you to stop....

This means stop growling at other dogs and the postman.

"must be" ? That sounds conditional.
Live in the moment
This means stop chasing and thinking about those bitches all over town.
(Just having some fun, not really being critical of the article. I
all animals, including dogs.)

Do not judge smells as bad; think of them as important sources of information
And my personal fav.... Accept affection from anyone

it invariably leads to weariness, cessation, appeasement, realization and extinction.
What is it? It is recollecting the Enlightened One.
