Tashi Delek from Connecticut!

Post by Dhondup »

Hello everyone! I'm a male in my early twenties studying Vajrayana. I'm currently observing the 5 precepts and hoping to ordain in the near future. I am also studying Tibetan, and I'd like to make my life's work participating in the translation of the Kangyur. I'm glad to be a member of this forum and i hope each and every one of you have a spectacular day!

“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Welcome Dhondup!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.
