Holy mother of god!

Apart from the sound of my kids playing the modern equivalent of a slot-car game via x-box, I have been listening to a favourite of mine from years back:

To our children's children's children by The Moody Blues (1970)

phpBB [video]

and an acquisition from Auckland:
Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood live at Madison Square Garden (2008)

phpBB [video]
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

I am listening to the hum of the refridgerator, the computer fan, the phone ringing and the tippity-tappity of the keyboard...the wonders of modern technology. :ugeek:
Four types of letting go:

1) Giving; expecting nothing back in return
2) Throwing things away
3) Contentment; wanting to be here, not wanting to be anywhere else
4) "Teflon Mind"; having a mind which doesn't accumulate things

This offering maybe right, or wrong, but it is one, the other, both, or neither!

When a person posts a video at youtube they have the opportunity to make it upload only on youtube and not available for embedding on other sites. Only a small percentage do that. You may be able to find someone else who uploaded the same video who did not put that stipulation.

Rain soddens what is kept wrapped up,
But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.

Ting tings, petshop boys and Le Roux
the embedding is disabled on these I didn't listen to the first two on my list here as I knew the songs but Le Roux was the one I was refering to.

I'm listening to "2 Minutes to Midnight" by Iron Maiden right now.... BUT....

SHAMELESS PLUG DISCLAIMER
The following is a shameless plug for music I have myself written. As a rubbish musician you should be aware that listening to music I have created is at your own risk. Any time spent listening to my music cannot be refunded.

... I will be listening to "Searching for some other truth" at http://www.myspace.com/mawkish1983 in a bit. I have two version of the song there (one with a piano harmony and one without) and I'm trying to work out which one I should keep and which should be forever purged. I've put it to the public vote but so far only two people have voted. For more info, see the blog on that page.

Greetings Mawkish,

Definitely keep the piano... maybe even complement it with some organ and some strings?

Listening to this, you may have already done so, but check out some Type O Negative... particularly something like...
