i couldn't get her out of my mind,ended up crying last night in bed..i tried to close my eyes but all i got was painful images.

I kept the eight precepts,listen to the dhamma all day,meditated and dedicate my merits for her and sent her metta.Who knows she might have been a departed relative in a not too distant life.

Perhaps the others of you, who can't relate to rape as well yet, for some reason, could also sit down for a while and try to imagine, what she went through, and develop some compassion for her. And sign the petition, please.

It doesn't matter that it happened in India. What we do for the women there, by signing the petition, will eventually affect all of us, who are your sisters, your daughters, your mothers, and your partners, -and if only on a message board.

You know that we are not just cleavages and sexy bodies to distract men from root channels.

I had received posts from friends in India, prior to this, all shocked and crushed and asking to sign. Male and female.

I am VRERY happy to see so much resonance, thank you all for spreading.

According to the last link, she was planning her wedding in February.

Gang rape seems to be a pastime in India, called "Eve-teasing", and recently a 17 year old girl was gangraped and committed suicide after police told her she should try and reach a settlement with the rapists herself!

This is outrageous and needs to be openly discredited, so people can force changes!

No wonder gang rape is a pasttime for some fools there, if it hardly ever has any painful consequences!
