Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers Van Sessions. Some samples of a Buddy Holly's "Everyday" and Hall & Oates' "I Can't Go For That." The Hall & Oates cover is so tight.
"You stop me, obviously with a demand for a personal explanation. 'How is it, you write, 'that you reject with such immitigable scorn the very foundation-stones of Buddhism, and yet refer disciples enthusiastically to the technique of some of its subtlest super-structures?'
I laff."

Nice, but it makes me want to hear the original
What is the use of his knowledge
pertaining to the number of insects in the whole world?
Rather, inquire into his knowledge of
that which is to be practised by us
-- Dharmakirti
This being is bound to samsara, kamma is his means for going beyond.

Happy birthday John Mclaughlin. Back in the 70's I was reading The Upanishads and The Bhagavad Gita, and wondering about John and Carlos - and Shri Chinmoy. John always seemed so wholesome and radiant

Some of his music was certainly awesome.

The Hobbit soundtrack, by Howard Shore. Not as good as the soundtrack to The Lord Of The Rings, but still...
On spotify.
Then,

you will put an end to suffering and stress.

"The point of meditation is to essentially push the ego into a corner so that it has nowhere else to go. The ego is based on attachment—our attachment to the body and to ideas. When the ego is cornered and has nowhere to go, the only thing one can do is to put it down. And when one puts down the ego, then that is enlightenment."

Through many of samsara’s births I hasten seeking, finding not the builder of this house - pain is birth again, again.
O builder of this house you’re seen, you shall not build a house again, all your beams have given away, rafters of the ridge decayed, mind to the unconditioned gone, exhaustion of craving has it reached.

To anyone who enjoys instrumental music, I highly recommend this band:

Glad you enjoyed it!
Here's another instrumental I like (A bit more on the Jazz side of things)

Wonderful. I hope that you don't mind my posting this in response, Mr. Man.
Last year, I had the opportunity to try Sacred Harp singing, and was floored by the experience. I have no musical training, and was slow to grasp the notation. But the sound produced is amazingly cathartic. Everyone should try it

Nice cover of a great song along with some great skiing.
