Introduce yourself to others at Dhamma Wheel.
by Svadhyaya » Wed Dec 19, 2012 2:37 am
I have been a practicing Buddhist for several years, but always at home since my town has no sangha or temple. This is the first time I have ventured online to find a Buddhist community and I am hoping to learn and gain some new insights. I love to read and practice, but my social experience when it comes to sharing my faith is quite pitiful.
I am happy to be here!

Welcome to the Dhamma Wheel! I lived in S. Carolina for 6 years, so I feel you on the lack of a sangha. There's not much in the area, and even less in the Theravada tradition. The internet can be a great spiritual resource to help you on your path, and I wish you the best of luck

Greetings Svadhyaya,
Welcome to Dhamma Wheel.
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)
