"And what is the development of concentration that, when developed & pursued, leads to mindfulness & alertness? There is the case where feelings are known to the monk as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside. Perceptions are known to him as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside. Thoughts are known to him as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside. This is the development of concentration that, when developed & pursued, leads to mindfulness & alertness.
How can feelings be known to one as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside? How can perceptions be known to one as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside? How can thoughts be known to one as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside?

by being observant, and maintaining awareness on the foundations of mindfulness
This offering maybe right, or wrong, but it is one, the other, both, or neither!

"Others will misconstrue reality due to their personal perspectives, doggedly holding onto and not easily discarding them; We shall not misconstrue reality due to our own personal perspectives, nor doggedly holding onto them, but will discard them easily. This effacement shall be done."

Is there a type of samadhi one can develop so feelings can be known to one as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside; perceptions can be known to one as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside; thoughts be known to one as they arise, known as they persist, known as they subside? Please provide sutta evidence

What is the use of his knowledge
pertaining to the number of insects in the whole world?
Rather, inquire into his knowledge of
that which is to be practised by us
-- Dharmakirti
This being is bound to samsara, kamma is his means for going beyond.

Níl sa saol seo ach ceo
There is naught in this life but mist
Is ní bheimid beo ach seal beag gearr.
And we will not be alive but a short hard time.
