Finding dead bugs in a water bowl

Post by purple planet »

I find dead bugs in a water bowl i put as decoration - its just a bowl with water - that i put inside a small water pump which makes it a little fountain - now i would think that it might kill the bugs BUT most of the time its unplugged and i find the dead bugs when the pump is unplugged - still in the water but not connected to the power source

any idea why they die ?

Insects outnumber humans by some ridiculous number that i dont recall atm. If you took any few square inches outdoors you would probably find a few dead bugs, most insects have short life spans. Its also possible that they were feeling despondent.

About 250 million to one.

Insects like to breed in water. In any event there is no intent to have them die there.

Well it has nothing to do with a water pump - cause i took it out and still found a dead bug in it

so what there is is a clear glass bowl with water in it thats on a wooden table ( which i took out until solving this mystery )
