NY Times Article: "I Am Not This Body"

Not written from a Buddhist perspective, the author doesn't go on to examine the question of identifying with the mind. But I thought it was provocative.

That guy needs to go do some yoga, and reconnect with his body.
The way he tells it, he's a brain, and the body is just a support structure.
It's a very one dimensional way of being in the world.
Then,
saturated with joy,
you will put an end to suffering and stress.

By saying this one might sound like trying to position him- or herself above the writer of the article, but here goes: the writer might benefit from trying to accept things as they are instead of trying to control them.
