Re: Hello from Italy
Benvenuto Adriano! Rome is one of my favorite cities!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Greetings Adriano and welcome to Dhamma Wheel!

Hi Adriano
I haven't been there but I knew the abbot Ajahn Chandapalo when he was living in the UK and I have also met Ajahn Jutindharo. I would imagine it is well worth a visit.

Hi Adriano,
Benvenuto! I have been to Santacittarama. It is about an hour bus ride from Rome. At the moment Ajahn Chandapalo is in solitary retreat until the next month or so in the Italian Alps. But you can speak with Ajahn/Ashin Ottamo, he is a very senior Czech-Swiss monk who trained in Burma. There are also others, some Thai and some Italian. On the 24th of this month there will be a one-day retreat conducted by Ajahn Ottamo, you might want to visit on that day.
