Korean Dhammapada

Postby Cittasanto » Sun Sep 15, 2013 9:38 am

Anyone know where I can find the Korean version of the Dhammapada?
Particularly verse 183
This offering maybe right, or wrong, but it is one, the other, both, or neither!

John Choi has uploaded the 법구경 (Beopgugyeong / Dhammapada) to Youtube in segments, with about 3-5 verses in each video. If you want the printed text just click on the "Show More" button.

183
To avoid all evil,
to cultivate good,
and to cleanse one's mind — this is
the teaching
of the Buddhas.

악을 피하고
선을 가꾸며
마음을 깨끗이 씻는 것,
바로 이것이
모든 붓다들의
가르침이다.

...and this thought arose in the mind of the Blessed One:
“Who lives without reverence lives miserably.”
    Uruvela Sutta, A.ii.20

It were endless to dispute upon everything that is disputable.

I saw some videos in my initial search but didn't think they would have a transcript :facepalm for own assumptions:
but I had come across this

Verse 183 wrote:The eschewing of all evil, the perfecting of good deeds, the purifying of one's mind, this is the teaching of the Buddhas (the awakened).

모든 나쁜 짓을 그만 두고 착한 일을 완수하고 자기 마음을 깨끗이 하는 것이 깨친 이의 교훈이다.

the initial page link is here if anyone is interested, cutting after the country code just generated a blank page for me :(
