Worldly Sayings vs Buddhist Wisdom

Hi guys,

Can you think of any worldly sayings which are in contradiction to the Dhamma?

I can think of two...
"Ignorance is bliss"
and "You only live once"

True, but in some cases that would apply, for example, the threefold rule, respecting another culture when in a foreign land, skillful means.

But in other cases, yes, that would be inappropriate, such as if "When in Rome" would lead to breaking any of the precepts.
