Greetings,

I was just wondering if anyone had read Dale Carnegie's "How To Stop Worrying and Start Living", and if so, what they thought about it? Is any of the content aligned with the Dhamma?

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)

Years ago I read his book "How to Win Friends and Influence People," but somehow it didn't rub off. But it was a good book with all kinds of encouragement to care authentically about others, remember other people's names, look for things in others which you can honestly appreciate, listen carefully and put yourself in the other person's shoes, stuff like that. He seems like a fine gentleman and a skillful writer. fwiw

But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.
