Re: 2014 Calendar...
I find it hard to work out the right days for my calendar. Perhaps some astronomers could explain how the Forest Sangha work out their dates?
According to Date and Time.com these are the New moon and Full-moon dates for January 2014, in London GMT.
New 1 Jan @ 11:14 Full 16 Jan @ 04:53 and New 30 Jan @ 21:39
The Forest Sangha calendar omits 1st Jan, so presumably it was on 31st December
Full moon is on 15th Jan
New moon is on 30th Jan

Re: 2014 Calendar...
Just a guess, but I'm thinking it (possibly) has (something) to do with time zones, as well as who's doing the calculating (and where they are when doing so)...I don't think GMT/UTC is used by everyone as universally as one might think...

Re: 2014 Calendar...
I am thinking that if the time of the full-moon is a.m. then the Uposatha is the previous day, but this doesn't quite compute in every case.
Anyway, I have done my best and uploaded my calendar for 2014 on my news page.

Sadhu Bhantes!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Thanks bhante!
Actually, I really liked the December entry on the current 2013 calendar, so I overlaid an Instagram effect over it and made it look a bit ye olde...
Metta,

I must be a bit slow ... everyone else seems to know these calendars but this is the first of them I've seen.

Re: 2014 Calendar...
I started thinking about creating an app for the iPhone/ipad for tracking Uposatha days using the calender. However, how many different calendars and sets of Uposatha days are there?
