Hello from Mexico

Postby dilexi » Sat Aug 15, 2009 4:09 am

Hello,
I'm a North American living in Mexico. I've been practicing Insight meditation for a few years now with teachers who have done teacher training at Spirit Rock in Northern California. While in Mexico, I've also been studying a little bit of Tibetan Buddhism.
I came across this forum while looking for advice on how to find some specific teachings of the Buddha (having to do with social justice) and felt compelled to join. I miss my Theravada Sangha back home and am happy to discover this forum!

Hi And welcome
This offering maybe right, or wrong, but it is one, the other, both, or neither!

Greetings dilexi,

Metta,
Retro. :)
If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)

One who is such, calmed and ever mindful, He has no sorrows! -- Udana IV, 7
