My most importantant question
Does the suffering reduces day by day?

yes and no - day by the only by a tiny bit - so little you dont even notice
suffering can come and go - be strong and weak
whats improtant is the long run
how do you know your improving ? by your behavior - thats how you know how advanced are others - if a monk gets angry you know his not good - or if he drinks or lies

if you do good and avoid bad than yes suffering is reduced day by day !!! even hour by hour - but only a tiny tiny bit - that you cant even notice
the best way to know is to see improvements in your behavior
you see improvement in your self control - if you are angry - you can let it go faster - than you suffer less - when you let it go you are calmer - and as you improve whenever your angry you dont attach to it and suffer for it but you let it go

Do you mean that sort of things is totally forbidden and it takes away merits, calm and so on (and you and I stop advancing ofcourse)?

yes
you make bad kamma - and might get its bad result later
also you cause suffering -
when you avoid doing bad you not only dont cause suffering and bad kamma - you also create good kamma and develope good quality like equanimity and metta - you get calmer which in turn will make you more concentrated -
but all this thing usually are very subtle you cant "feel" it when you do the good thing

its hard to stop bad habits and addictions- im no expert - it is important to know at least that addiction is not a good thing
in buddhism its all about dealing with reality - the more real the better - so we try to avoid doing things to "escape" reality -
thats why drugs and alcohol are so bad -
but any addiction isnt a good thing - reality is hard and not fun - thats why its so hard to observe it - to look at it - so we try to do are best and slowly we try to stop escaping reality and to look at it - and good deeds gives us more "power" to look at
it -
dont expect to feel great all the time - or to feel better - just make sure you do good and avoid bad and dont have greed to feel better - or aversion from the hard work we all have to do

no defiantly not - you should deal with reality - if you feel pain because of fire you should move your hand
if you have to work - than you should work and not stop cause you feel a little bored ) or if you need to clean the house you shouldn't not do it because your a little tired - you should deal with it and deal with this reality
it means to do what you think you should do - and not avoid it cause it feels a little hard
but you should look for "hard" stuff to do just because its hard
you go work for your dad to feel happy - maybe make money to live - or maybe to donate it
thats whats called the middle way - not to look for pain but also not to look for fun - to avoid these two extremes
if you work each day at a coal mine - and your body is aching - and your boss swears at you all day - and you get 1$ a month - its to hard to develope equanimity and metta this way - and you might try to look for a different job
if you stay at home all day and eat junk food and watch tv - its also not good
but if you have a normal job - not staying at home but not very very hard - that you can use it as a tool to deal with reality its good
