Hello there :)

Some of you may know me from bhuddahchat.org or Bhuddism without boundaries. My name is Stephen and I have very recently joined a Samantha meditation group which i think is in teh Theravadin tradition. I havebeen reading about general buddhism for some time now and feel liek I am starting out on the path.

Would it be the Samatha Trust that you've joined? If so, that's a splendid start.

Best wishes,

Welcome!

:namaste:
The heart of the path is SO simple. No need for long explanations. Give up clinging to love and hate, just rest with things as they are. That is all I do in my own practice. Do not try to become anything. Do not make yourself into anything. Do not be a meditator. Do not become enlightened. When you sit, let it be. When you walk, let it be. Grasp at nothing. Resist nothing. Of course, there are dozens of meditation techniques to develop samadhi and many kinds of vipassana. But it all comes back to this - just let it all be. Step over here where it is cool, out of the battle. - Ajahn Chah

They are certainly affiliated to the trust but I haven't joined the trust myself...yet :) we'll see. Like I say I've just started meditating and am having difficulty kicking back for 10 minutes lol.

hi Stephen
is it the samatha trust?
I think it is theravadin and know a couple of people who go to one of the groups on occasion but nothing more! :hello:
