Dear brothers & sisters of the dhamma,
I m willie from kuala lumpur, malaysia.
In my search buddhism, i have came across - theravada, tibetan, chinese mahayana, zen & science of life.
In my search for meditation, i came across loving meditation and yogi meditation.
I wish to find out which meditation is the most suitable to reach nibbana.
By the way, yogi meditation do not eat meat, garlic, onion and coconut, coffee too. While in buddhist temple in brickfields bodhi vihara monks eats these except new & full moon. Therefore i need further clarification. I m in need of a guru for meditation too.
Regards

Vipassanā meditation is the method to realise nibbāna.
You are fortunate in Malaysia, as you have many able teachers such as U Aggacitta or U Sujiva. (I am sure there are many others too, but I met them both in Burma when I was there in 1979-1980).
In Buddhism, what you eat is not very important, but what you think is crucial. Whatever you eat, do it mindfully and without greed or aversion.

Welcome!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
