Hello everyone,
I had some problems logging in, so I've changed my username from Dazzle to Dazzlebling.
Retro has very kindly given me permission to post this request. Thank you, Retro!
I'm a female offline practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism and I opened my own website in November with the help of a friend.
http://www.buddhismwithoutboundaries.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The group is for practitioners of the main Buddhist traditions and anyone else who's interested. My aim was to provide a friendly environment for discussion and resources which was free from the squabbles and unkindness I have been saddened to see in some internet groups (see code of conduct for more details)
I was wondering if there's anyone here who has some experience and study with offlineTheravada groups who might be able to find a little time to call in and share some of their knowledge and understanding at BWB occasionally? I have created a Theravada forum but my own knowledge has been mostly limited to reading the online teachings of the late Ajahn Chah and his pupils, which I have enjoyed tremendously.
Thank you so much for reading my message.
With kind wishes,
Dazzle

Re: A hello and a request
Hi
Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.
He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.
John Stuart Mill

Welcome!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
