Hello everyone!

It's great to be here! Despite my corny username, friends call me Dan. I used to be on E-sangha when suddenly my account ceased to function...then I got a Facebook message from venerable Dhammanando (through the Pali group) about these forums and thought it'd be great to join and continue discussion.

So a little about myself...I'm a Penn State freshman majoring in Art History and Japanese. I have been Buddhist for about...oh, 2 years I believe. Time sure does fly. I often call myself and Independent Theravada Buddhist for personal reasons, but nevertheless find much interest in all forms of Buddhism and other religions for that matter! Funny thing is, of all the religious groups on campus, there are none for Buddhism. I'm thinking about starting a group for lay people of all Buddhist traditions to come and practice meditation and discuss various ideas from the suttas. Hope that goes well...

So I hope to contribute and get along with everyone here. I'm glad to meet you all and hope we have a wonderful journey.

With metta,
Dan :namaste:

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)
