General discussion of issues related to Theravada Meditation, e.g. meditation postures, developing a regular sitting practice, skillfully relating to difficulties and hindrances, etc.

In the month of July, our wat is planning to organize a retreat in the area of London. Since we planning it a bit late, it is a bit hard to find a good retreat centre where we could organize it. Any suggestions for a good place? We expect about 20 people. (Our wat doesn't have a retreat centre of its own yet.)
Thanks,
Khemadhammo Bhikkhu.
He stopped and called out to the Blessed One: "Stop, recluse! Stop, recluse!"
"I have stopped, Angulimāla, you stop too."

Dear Ven Khemadhammo Bikkhu,
We have meditation classes at Thames Buddhist Vihar (selsdon). The committee organised retreats by renting out the FWBO centre in suffolk and also a christian nunnery in Bromley. Here are some more options:
http://fwbo.org/fwbo/retreatcentres.htmlhttp://www.metta.org.uk/retreats.aspThe organisers will have to call around and compare facilities and prices. It is best done a year in advance but if you are lucky you may find a place!
wishing the best of luck!
