It has a very negative 3 star review and 1 star review. I alway pay attention to the negative reviews before deciding to buy a book or DVD. You may want to check out the review.

Based on the reviews, it seems like the CD set was not very well produced. A shame, really, because Rick Hanson is a very interesting guy with a lot to say and teach and an approach that is different from many other teachers based on his background as a neuropsychologist. I think some of the information on the CDs could be found on his website, for example here:

Haven't read those articles but I think they would serve as a good introduction to what's on the CD. If you're interested in his Neurodharma approach, check out these podcasts with the Buddhist Geeks. Very interesting discussion connecting concepts in the dharma (no-self, jhana, etc.) with recent neurological research.
