Greetings all,
Does anyone know of any organizations that offer Dhamma dana? I know of a few. These are great places, especially in these economic times, when some times it may be hard to afford to buy lots of books. With these groups, I always at least try to reimburse the shipping charges.
The ones I know of are:
Inward Path Publisher:
http://www.inwardpath.org/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The books are free, you just have to pay the shipping costs, which, are quite affordable.
Maha Bodhi Buddhist Center:
http://maharts.com.au/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Based in Australia. Good communication with Mr. Chen, the organizer. Mahayana and Theravada books available.
Amitabha Buddhist Library Chicago:
http://www.amitabhalibrary.org/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They carry Theravada books as well as Mahayana and are very good at communication and getting your books to you on time.
Just Be Good:
http://www.justbegood.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I think most everyone on here knows about this one, since I saw it posted elsewhere. Also good communication and quick service.
Corporate Body for the Buddha Education Foundation:
http://www.budaedu.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I used to get good service from them, but recently havent' heard anything back from them. Does anyone maybe know what's going on? Based in Taiwan.
Well, these are the ones I know of. Does anyone know of any others that are specifically Theravada or at least carry Theravada books?
Free Dhamma Books?

Write to Metta forest monastery. I received some books from there this very day, in fact. I'm up in Canada,jcsuperstar wrote:like 10 years ago there were a lot of places to get free dhamma books, now most are either gone or have e-books.

and they sent to me straight away.
With luck I will be sending a donation soon(ish).

Greetings all,
Just a side note, the Corporate Body of The Buddha Educational Foundation (http://www.budaedu.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) is still distributing free Dhamma books. I heard from them yesterday.

Re: Free Dhamma Books?
I was thinking of ordering a few books from Inward Path. Has anyone ordered from here before? Are they reliable? Do the shipments go out fast? I noticed there based in Malaysia which is really far. I have been having trouble with BPS. I ordered 3 books and my payment was received on the 20th and they still have not shipped my books out yet. I have been coresponding with someone and they have said it has to do with the elections going on but there only 3 small books. Im not sure whats going on and now im a little reluctant to be ordering overseas. Has anyone else had trouble with BPS?
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

bodom,
I placed an order from Inward Path. They sent me an e-mail today saying the order is processing. So, I guess it's worth a shot.

Not ordered from inward path, but have from Budesu! they sent me a mail telling me I should put england or UK on my address, so I had to tell them I live in neither England or UK.
got the books in about a month though.

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …

Manapa,
Did you mean Budaedu, or is Budesu a new one? I think it's a typo, but just thought I'd check.

Well I finally got a confirmation from BPS saying my books have been shipped! My faith has been restored!
