The Dhātuvibhaṅga sutta (Majjhima Nikāya 140) is a good sutta to read in for an explanation of each element. and the Ekayana Agama version of the satipatthana sutta has 5 elements in the section of the Body unlike the Pali version.
This offering maybe right, or wrong, but it is one, the other, both, or neither!

i thought it would be good to bring up since personally i've never come across this type of meditation other than seeing it mentioned in books or online.
