Dhmmawheel was down the whole morning here

Post by Annapurna »

Just wanted to tell you guys that I couldn't access neither Dhammawheel nor Dharmawheel from 8 to almost 12 pm European time.

I could access all other fora and everything else.

I was quite alerted, needless to say.

Any idea what was wrong?

Ty,

Nothing was wrong. Unstable, unreliable conditions were behaving according to their expected nature.

Ah. I'm glad the site didn't hacked. I thought it may be valuable information, since before E sangha went down, it had short prior disappearances too.

I'm no computer specialist, so pardon my ignorance...

Greetings Annabel,

I believe the server was being rebooted. If you're a member of "Dhamma Wheel on Facebook" on Facebook, then there was a link posted to the hosting provider's run-sheet of events.

We endeavour to use that group as an information source if/when Dhamma Wheel or Dharma Wheel are ever down for decent amounts of time, so as to keep members informed.

Metta,
Retro. :)

It seems Dharmawheel is down now, I keep getting a general error message.

:anjali:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

lol sorry i was talking about the sister site DHARMAwheel. The little r next to the m does make it hard to read differently.

I suspect he was referring to Dharma Wheel...

Yes, it was the server being rebooted. Here are links to updates:

http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/forum/ss6 ... eboot.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And if you don't bookmark this and can't get here in the future when DW is down, go to the facebook group page:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=9 ... 623&ref=nf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You don't need to be a member of facebook to see the wall posts or links.
