Hi everyone

As a matter of interest, has anyone seen "The Road"?

If so, what did you think?
No spoilers please! If it doesn't come down to Tasmania, I might have to wait until its out on DVD which could be a while!
kind regards

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

I thought it was very good. Faithful to the book, so if you "enjoyed" that, then you will like the film. Viggo Mortensen is excellent, and the relationship between father and son, which IS the story, is wonderfully portrayed. I took much more from it than from the flashy Avatar, but it's all down to what floats your boat I guess.
I also liked the ambiguous ending. It's your call really. Heartily  recommended.

Viggo may not have ever killed a man before but he's certainly killed his share of orcs! :jedi:
Four types of letting go:

1) Giving; expecting nothing back in return
2) Throwing things away
3) Contentment; wanting to be here, not wanting to be anywhere else
4) "Teflon Mind"; having a mind which doesn't accumulate things
