They're breathtaking Wish I could afford to go to see them! Guess I'll just have to change my desktop background instead

Absolutely amazing! I only wish I had the good kamma of being born in a Buddhist country like Thailand.
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

The title is a little misleading...the photos are different angles of the same one...BobbyC wrote:They're...them...

Which one is this one in Thailand? How many feet high?
I notice the wikipedia link did not have the 80 foot Buddha in Bodh Gaya.

Greetings,
That would have to be one of the biggest noses in the world.
It reminded me of Bill Lawry

I'll be in Ang Thong in April. It's on our list... At almost three times the size of the Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong it must be rather stunning. Though the Hong Kong one does have the advantage of being on a hill... Not many hills in Ang Thong...appicchato wrote:More photos of the same roop (statue)...it's located at Wat Muang Ang Thong...(google and Wiki have lots of links)...

(My gratitude to the OP for the pics, especially this one...will print and frame it )
