Please understand that I am so far unsure of how visas will work out, essentially all I've been told is: "Don't worry, you can sort it out when you get here."
I assume a monastery will have to endorse me for visa extensions, in which case I would feel obliged to remain at that monastery for a fair duration. In a perfect world I would like to go around and sample what each environment has to offer before I ordain, but because of constraints this may not be possible, time will tell.
