Theravāda in the 21st century - modern applications of ancient wisdom
by ciprian » Sun Mar 14, 2010 9:25 am
I want to subtitle some video dhamma talks for my fellow countrymen that do not understand English (of course free of charge), but I don't want to violate any copyrights, so I need some video dhamma talks under creative commons license. Do you know any links? So far I only found some of Bhante Sujato's talks here
http://www.dhammanet.org/.
There are a lot of videos on youtube and google videos but I don't know their legal status. For Ajahn Brahm's videos on youtube I asked permission to BSWA's president, no answer yet.
For example I would like to subtitle one of Bhikku Bodhi's video on google videos...
Any hints?

Hi Ciprian
I think your best option is if you continue to try and contact the creators/copyright holders and explain your intentions.
Bhikkhu Bodhi is contactable via the Bodhi Monastery in Lafayette, NJ, USA.

My pleasure. I wish you the very best with your project.
If you are communicating with Venerable Bodhi, please pass on the metta and good wishes from his friends at Dhamma Wheel.

All the Dhammatube videos would be potentially available for such a project.
