Hi everyone,

I've just finished my morning meditation and I';m enjoying the pre-dawn quiet with a cup of tea.
Its a beautiful time of day.
In a few minutes, everyone will be up and it'll be the usual morning catastrophe until everyone is off to work and school.
Manapa - I'll check that video out a little later, perhaps when Quinn is up and about. If its anything like the other one, it'll definitely make his day (and mine)!
Thank you all for your kind wishes.
Much metta to you all!

Ben
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Sorry if I'm a bit late to the party Ben, but Happy Birthday. You're a real asset to this place and to Buddhism in general.

Hope you have a good one.

Happy Birthday Ben!

I am very grateful for all the help and support you have given me answering my beginnerish questions in the short time I have been visiting DhammaWheel. May you live a long time so that you can help out lots of new people finding their legs in the Dhamma.
Four types of letting go:

1) Giving; expecting nothing back in return
2) Throwing things away
3) Contentment; wanting to be here, not wanting to be anywhere else
4) "Teflon Mind"; having a mind which doesn't accumulate things
