Hello Ben,
I was on a pilgrimage visit to Myanmar in October 2003 with Khun Sujins' group. Most of my notes are lost on a long dead computer. I still remember on my first visit to the Schwedagon Temple being literally struck dumb for the first (and only) time in my life by the beauty and grandeur of this temple. I also think the multiplicity of ancient Temples of Bagan ought to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Here is a post by a friend on that trip:
Mandalayhttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/dhammastu ... sage/26429For not-to-be-missed pilgrimage sites, I would strongly suggest the
Shwedagon Pagoda, Rangoon, the stupendous multitude of temples in Bagan, and Kuthodaw Pagoda with its 'Worlds' largest library" engraved on standing stones, in
