just spent a week in Chithurst and now having 2 weeks off from monastery living.
Chithurst was really good, everyone was nice, and got half lost when I went on a walk with one of the monks,

, it was a spontanious walk, and really nice, but could of done with a compass!
For me Chithurst has its benefits as a place more so than Amaravati, but Amaravati is the right sandpaper (Tenzin Palmo reference if you are familiar!) for me at least, but definitely see benefits to being in both places, and type of practice both are conductive for, or aspects of cultivating and strengthening of the practice etc.
I arive back on the 14th to Amaravati and am unsure about internet access over the next few weeks so hope to be on sooner rather than later.
