A book on Buddhist Pilgrimage by Chan Khoon San

Postby retrofuturist » Thu Oct 14, 2010 11:14 am

Greetings,

I highly recommend this text...

Buddhist Pilgrimage
by Chan Khoon San
http://www.buddhistelibrary.org/library ... ?aipath=69

... in terms of the information and background it provides into Buddhist Pilgrimages to the Four Holy Places of Pilgrimage, the Four Places of Principal Miracles, and the general information about the significance, history and people associated with pilgrimages in the past.

I found it a nice stop-gap for activity I would really like to do one day.

Metta,
Retro. :)
"When we transcend one level of truth, the new level becomes what is true for us. The previous one is now false. What one experiences may not be what is experienced by the world in general, but that may well be truer. (Ven. Nanananda)

“I hope, Anuruddha, that you are all living in concord, with mutual appreciation, without disputing, blending like milk and water, viewing each other with kindly eyes.” (MN 31)

Never again...

Thanks for the link. It seems that the site is from the people behind Buddhanet :)

@retrofuturist: based on your avatar, are you associated with Buddhanet? :anjali:
Suffering is asking from life what it can never give you.

No, but I appropriated the animation from someone who had in turn appropriated the same image from Buddhanet before they applied the grey background to it.
