Re: Candana Bhikkhu's new video 'Goenka Cult' vs The Dhamma
Goenka was a promotor of the neoliberalism capitalists at Davos They[goenka group] follow a Marxist style leadership. My way or the highway. were all these Goenka courses that kicked off in '69 part of a worldwide test rollout of conditioning, part of some bigger play... It sounds like you're jumpi...

Re: Different colour scheme for the forum
No worries, I only messed with it for 5 minutes. There's actually only so much you can target with custom CSS via this filter. There are other extensions that allow for more. Maybe I'll write a custom stylesheet someday if more people want one. Anyway, feel free to use or discard this as you see fi...

Re: Different colour scheme for the forum
Much faster yes, thanks! This is great! Way better for my eyes. Only if it pleases you, else don't bother! I am getting used to the text font colour already, and I am already more than satisfied with this tool. No worries, I only messed with it for 5 minutes. There's actually only so much you can t...

Re: Different colour scheme for the forum
It works great for most websites, but not for dhammawheel until now. It is dark for a fraction of a second after each click, after which it switches back to the normal scheme. Have you experience this? Thanks in advance! Edit; figured out it was due to my VPN. The extension is a bit slow sometimes,...

Re: Different colour scheme for the forum
Greetings, It is a wonderful forum, but the colour scheme makes it hard to visit for a longer period of time. The white and bright orange colours are quite tiresome for the eyes, and as people spend more and more time in front of a screen, this is becoming more and more an obstruction. I would like...

Re: Dhammayut Thai Temples Friendly to Phenomenonlogical Approach?
Like others have said, rather than finding a place that teaches in the same way as nanavira, I would suggest finding a place that allows ample time for meditation and isolation, if you go to Thailand. I would imagine there are many small monasteries with few visitors. As far as the monastery you're ...

Re: Where to buy "Clearing the Path"?
Greetings, Does anyone know where I can get a physical copy of Nanavira's clearing the path, particularly in the US? I currently have notes on dhamma, but I've heard the letters are useful to make sense of the notes. I would gift my current "notes" if I was able to buy the collection. You...

Re: I'm working on building a start page with quotes from the Buddha and would appreciate suggestions/feedback.
Why don't you just go to the original texts themselves and copy out what you like? You still have a bunch I'd say aren't genuine quotes. When was the last time you checked? They are all verified sutta/dhammapada quotes now, unless I somehow forgot to push it live. Though, you may disagree with some...

Re: Metta is only easy when I'm alone.
Try to think of metta as not only that good feeling you get when you're actively practising it on the cushion, but how you interact with others. Express metta through your actions. You can be annoyed with someone but still be kind and helpful.
