Last month, all the chief Nayaka theros of the three Nikayas inform the President of SriLanka formally to ban the above mentioned sects like Mivanaplane and Waharaka. BMC is Unorthodox
The Popular English Vinaya book named Buddhist Monastic Code, is an Unorthodox Compendium. We have seen many monks who believe differently interpreted Vinaya rules, commit offences, wear short robes and behave abnormally, because they have self-learned the Vinaya from BMC. Many people who are lazy t...

Re: First time retreat
Any other advice, comments would be cool. Don’t forget, first time poster so go easy and I’m sorry if this is in the wrong section. 😔 Generally in most (or maybe almost all) retreat centers that we have heard of, the Orthodox way of practice is not taught or practiced. Re: The Origins of the Western Dvi-pitaka-vada
No. We can't accept what is written as 100% correct. What written documents intended to do is to safeguard the truth. The word Faithfully (If you mean it Saddha) is not the proper word to use in this case. You do not have Saddha in a book. "If a person has conviction, his statement, 'This is m...
