Re: If we live in a simulation, how does this work with Buddhism?

Yes. We are pretending to be a self and we give meaning to things so we're already living a simulation.

Re: Moral Dilemma

I wonder if there is kamma not paying full ? And what type of kamma . I guess the kind of kamma that keeps you uneasy while traveling, and when trying to meditate and who knows what other consequences. It's better to give. It's more important to be attentive to give away a ticket to anyone in need ...

Dare mighty things

Nasa's Perseverance rover landed on mars and some of us learned that the Jet Propulsion Laboratory has "Dare mighty things" as a motto coming from a phrase of american president Theodore Roosevelt: Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, th...

That's interesting. And even more interesting would be your book for beginners on how to meditate, when to start, why meditate, when not meditate and why not, what to develop prior to meditation, and advice like this.

Re: Why does Classical Theravada become your favorite choice, rather than all the other paths?

. Why? ... I know little about theravada and less about the other traditions. What I like about buddhism is that it doesn't rely on miracles or on forces of gods or magical forces. What I like about theravada is that it doesn't rely on undefinable aspects of the universe. I see theravada more "down...
